Out next show is the spectacular Colchester Oyster Fayre on 6th & 7th June.
Its a show we love and a great atmosphere, come and see us and say hello.
Well, with one more show to go in a few weeks time, our year is finally finished and all the birds can have a well deserved rest.
We’re already taking bookings at fast and furious pace.10 shows with Classic Festivals and Events and Loxwood Joust has taken the leap and doing 2 weekends on the trot.
We should have a lovely talk with renowned photographer Steve Durrant in February so its starting to fill up lovely.
Here’s a few pictures from the year.
Another successful weekend at Colchester although the Gulls did give Mima a bit of a hard time on Saturday. We’ve had to extend the tent, to be able to include the two Eagles. So sometime in the future a larger tent will have to be purchased.Tim also build a cadge for the falcons. Back again next year.
There is also a behind the scenes video.Enjoy!!!!!
Well, the nights are getting lighter, and the bookings are coming in.This month we’ll start getting most of the birds up and flying, ready for the shows. Our first show is at Straddsett Hall on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April, so come and pay us a visit.
Well its been a while since i’ve posted. We’ve had a bit of a break and also picked up our new addition to the family.
Inca- a Chillean Blue Eagle, who at the moment isn’t very blue.(He won’t get his adult plumage until he’s about 4 years old).
This weekend we’re at The Suffolk Home & Country Show at Wherstead Park,Ipswich. http://suffolkcountryshow.co.uk/
Come and have a great day out and See Azor, the Steppe Eagle being trained ready for the shows next Year.
Sorry we haven’t posted on for a while but it’s been all go at Out On A Wing Falconry. We’ve had a lot of shows to do, ranging from a local Vintage weekend, fete’s, gala’s, country shows and even a Tudor event.
We have also had a new adition to the family in the shape of “Azor,The Steppe’s Eagle” who has come from ICBP Duncombe and was bred at ICBP Newent in 2009.His progress is coming along brilliantly and if you come to any of our shows in the next month, you can see the training in progress.
Well a brilliant weekend of fighting ,music, jousting and falconry.Unfortually there wasn’t any mobile signal in the 14th/15th century so had to wait till we got back for an update.
As shows go this was the hotest so far. The birds did their best in the heat, with little or no wind to help them. The highlight of the weekend had to be meeting “Joey, The War Horse” on the Sunday and we even got a photo as well.
